Glass Etching. - A first time attempt.

I truly love my cricut machine. I just found out it cuts fabric! Serious! My Mish Trainer Mandy Clive was taught how to use our cricut machines for class etching. And she was gracious enough to teach me and her sis Michela. It really is alot of fun. I want to rush and get most projects over so glass etching is one project that I will have to learn how to be exact and perfect with it. The whole idea is to get a peice of glass whether its a candle platter, vase, kitchen bowls, or even glass casserole dishes from the kitchen and you etch names or figurines into the glass. The beauty of this is you can etch names on glass dishes so when you take someone dinner you can always get them back!
I crashed and burned on the first two attempts of learning how to do this. All you need is contact paper that you cut with your cricut and a brush with the etching cream that you get from Micheals craft. This is a great R.S activity and just one more use for the great Cricut machine. The vase I attempted to do flowers on it, they smeared and I hope the vase that I got for our wedding wasnt too expensive. The second platter was suppose to be covered in awsome stars. I am a retard and put the etching cream on the top side of the glass thinking it was on the right side. I had to attempt to fix teh blobs by covering them with circles instead. Im a nerd and so now I have what looks like a platter with some stars and round moons.

I have to do a plug for my sister Kelsey who really is so talented and has an amazing ability to be successful with ANYTHING she touches!.. Especially photography. So I LOVED it, we laughed! some people cried?, and we had a great time. Serious the music was the best, the story line and acting was so creative and wonderful, the understudies were great, and it was so fun. Thanks Dad for the 7th ROW tickets and Mom for the Dinner that could be served at Outback!

House full of Beagles!

Well I stole my sisters Beagle Jack, I just felt so bad as there is a extreme heat advisory and he just sit outside. With Ray having a new baby there just isnt anytime or place for Jack for a long while. If he comes to my house I have a beagle babysitter so it works out just great. This is Jack- Bauer- and Chloe. Canned butter. Food Storage

I learned about this canned butter at a canning class and imediately went home and researched it. I would love to have real, creamy, natural butter in my year supply. It seemed too good to be true. It wasn't. This is real cream, real salt. That's it. It has an indefinite shelf life and tastes great. Each can contains about 3 sticks of butter. Preparing Wisely is now carrying it. Yep. A new car... it was bound to happen

Brad has been looking faithfully for a new car with our new reaquainted friend Brock White. Brock has his auctions licence and is so kind to hook some family friends up. We now are the proud owners of a new cute little silver Mazda 3- 2007- less than 50k miles on it.

Descent into PHX

Really the puppies did so great with the LONG car ride home. They slept most of the time and of coarse had to be right next to us the whole time. Brad received a fleece blankie for his birthday from his work and sadly it was sacrificed to me birthday gift the puppie. Luckily things wash out. Grandma Olsen was more than a kind and generous host! Thanks for everything, we had a great time.

Timpview High- 1999 reunion

Oakley Rodeo!

We had such a great time at this years Oakley Rodeo. As we were driving to it rain and dark clouds were thwarting to ruin our night but as we showed up the rain stopped and it was actually a really fun night. Oakleys Rodeo has gone an tour which means that their were some really great cowboys that were able to compete. Afterward s we got to see some pretty great fireworks!

Shesh. So much rain and green and Utah is 80 degrees.

Brad is so manly- Really he has changed my windshield wipers so many times. Utah this past weekend we actually pretty cold and rainy. Snow is still hanging around and the mountains are so green. I never really appreciated the mountains until I was gone for 6 months and came back.

Orriquh- Temple Open house

We had such a great time up in Utah this past weekend. Brad had a bunch of fun activities planned for us to do the whole time. Hay- Brad sister has never been to an open house for a new temple so we all took off to see the Orquiruh temple. I have no idea how to spell this temple and just barely learned how it is pronounced. This temple shares a similar zipcode that makes these two temples the closest in the world. The Bridal room was exquisite. And we really had a great time walking the sacred grounds of his house. After we had lunch at Mimi's! Brad wanted to get a TON of mountain pix. one because he misses them and for two... people at work have never been to Utah.
